Man Faces DUI Charge After Route 202 Stop

A routine traffic stop led to a misdemeanor charge for a Yorktown man who was busted by state police troopers driving under the influence of drugs on Thursday morning.

State police troopers stopped 43-year-old Michael Tomasetti at approximately 1:45 a.m. on Route 202 (Crompond Road) in Yorktown on Thursday for a vehicle and traffic law violation. During the subsequent stop, it was determined that Tomasetti was under the influence of an undisclosed drug and he was arrested at the scene.

Tomasetti was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of driving while ability impaired by drugs. His 2002 Toyota Tundra was impounded. Following arraignment, Tomasetti was released and is due back in Yorktown Court next month to answer the charge.
